Home to more than 200 million people and some of the world’s largest cities, Brazil represents an important part of Movement.org’s global work. Across the nation, Christian leaders are building relationships, addressing the challenges facing their cities and working together to see their communities flourish through the Gospel.

Demographics
Brazil is home to more than 212 million people, with nearly 88% of the population living in urban areas.
Brazil has one of the world’s highest levels of income inequality, with the top 1% accounting for about 27% of the nation’s income.
Nearly 1 million Brazilian children and adolescents ages 4–17 are not attending school, including 440,000 teenagers ages 15–17.
About one in five Brazilians lives below the poverty line, highlighting the economic challenges facing millions of people across the country.

Highlights of Movement.org’s work in the Region
In São Paulo
Our Scholars are building 54 affordable homes as an application to their training. More than 5,000 leaders in this great city have been impacted by Movement Day.
In Natal (North Zone of Brazil)
Scholars mobilized 700 volunteers from 80 churches to reach 7,000 people living in poverty. As a result, there were 230 conversions to Christianity.
From 2026 to 2028
We envision training 300 leaders in our Scholars program and engaging 20 cities annually.
