About Us
Accelerating the Gospel in Cities
Movement.org is a global organization committed to seeing the Gospel flourish in cities around the world. Rooted in New York City and now active across five continents, we unite Christian leaders around a shared desire to see their cities transformed.
Vision
The vision of Movement.org is to accelerate the Great Commission by fostering Gospel Expressions in 1,000 cities by the year 2030.
Mission
Our mission is to convene and catalyze Christian leaders to collectively impact their cities with the Gospel.
The Global Need:
5.5 Billion People
There are 5.5 billion people in the world living without the knowledge or hope of the Gospel. We believe God is concerned for every person in every city on the planet. He longs for a united Church to be established where there is none. He longs for the Church that is present to express muscular unity to meet the great spiritual and social needs of those cities.
Over the past 40 years, Movement.org has seen extraordinary local, national and global impact, with efforts now reaching more than 300 cities across five continents.
Movement.org is UNITING the Church to pray. It is EQUIPPING local leaders who know their city best, enabling them to launch Gospel Movements that are IMPACTING communities through collaborative action. These same leaders are MULTIPLYING this vision to hundreds of cities globally.
Since the inaugural Movement Day in New York City in 2010, a collaborative movement has spread across five continents. Yet billions of people still live without the knowledge or hope of the Gospel.
Our vision to foster Gospel Expressions in 1,000 cities is a historic undertaking. By uniting and equipping Christian leaders across the globe, we believe God will use citywide Gospel Movements to help bring the hope of Christ to billions of unreached people living in the world’s cities.
